Molly Drag is the recording project of songwriter Michael Charles Hansford, founded in London, Ontario in 2014 and later based in Montreal. Blending lo-fi indie rock, dream pop and folk with hushed vocals and slow-burning arrangements, the project turns isolation and emotional strain into intimate, atmospheric songs. Molly Drag joined Johnny Goth for a 2018 split release through Mutant League Records, featuring “Boxing the Needle” and adding a darker, more understated corner to the label’s catalog.
